Break the Chains to Change!
A feeling of pride and shame, empathy and anger tickled inside me on reading this news article. Rani Devi proved nothing but a saga of strength for all of us.
Not just physical abuse, but a mental shock, and to top it all, taking in all the sudden unpleasant changes is not easy. While battling with the past, coming to terms with the present, we must decide about the future course of life. With not enough support from our loved ones, our existence just becomes harder.
Hundreds of us might have been in the same situation as Rani Devi, but how many of us faced it with such heroism? Breaking all the social stigmas, she came out as a hero. Instead of breaking down herself, she tore apart the hurdles that came her way.
The sudden change in her life not only made her fight for herself but also encouraged her to stand up for others. Setting an example, she and her sister Prema Devi came to the aid of numerous others who would have been at a loss if not for them. Hats off to the sisters and their selfless efforts.
Domestic violence is something we all must strictly stand against. Not only women but men also go through such aggressive acts. Coming forward is the primary step of putting an end to this. If we also see or know somebody else dealing with such circumstances, we must report appropriately. Don’t just ignore it as it is “none of our business.” Getting into the matters of others becomes “very much our business” when the matters have turned such gross.
We heartily support the Mahila Kendra of the duo sisters. The institute is working for both men and women (don’t confuse with the name) confronting such problems. We also pray for a speedy recovery of Rani Devi.
Let’s take a pledge today to become neither a silent bearer nor a mute spectator of such instances.
Stay aware!

Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It’s always interesting to read through articles from other writers and practice a little something from their web sites.
