Read It to Believe It!
Dears, there are days when I have too much content to share but can’t think of one apt title. Today is one such day, and hence this title. However, it’s not a hoax. I do have something for you to read, believe, and come back here again, to read and believe ☺.
The story of Ryan has been very subtly narrated. However, one day in his life would make most of us preferring to die. He is definitely a fighter, and hence a survivor!
What makes us (and in this case, Ryan) endure the adverse situations and revive back to life?
We all have our own unique journey of life, history of failures, stories of faith, memories of happiness, and endurance through unexpected changes. Our experiences become the building blocks of our life. We go through and learn (or unlearn) from two types of experiences. One we face directly, which I call ‘active’ experiences, and the ones we become a witness to (directly faced by someone else, specifically someone close), which are termed ‘passive’ experiences in my dictionary. Be it any; both play a significant role in shaping our lives, depending on how we choose to react or incorporate them.
Having said that, coming back to the question of how we endure the painful circumstances of life? Well, in my experience(s), the primary thing that helps you through is, and I say it boldly – Acknowledging your pain (coming out of Denial). The rest follows…
We can never come out of a situation until we accept that it exists.
- If you miss someone, accept it you do!
- If you messed up a situation, acknowledge that you did.
- If you don’t understand your work, admit to it..
- If you are mentally or physically exhausted or emotionally drained out, would it hurt to agree that you are and take a break?
- If you envy someone, it’s ok and nothing to feel awful. You are human, and it’s natural to feel so. What is awful is not to accept your emotions and throw random hurtful reactions.
These and many more are our pain areas. The state of denial aggravates these feelings in negative ways, and suppressed emotions keep nagging us throughout life. Consequently, we are alive but not living.
Let us all try taking the first step today and every day!
